iPad video output over VGA is set to 1024 x 768 using a 720p scan rate. For optimal performance, it may be necessary to adjust the video resolution or settings for your display.

If you encounter an issue with playback, try the following:

• Connect directly to the TV, projector, or VGA display.
• Remove any VGA extension cables or converters.
• Accessories that convert a VGA signal to other video formats (HDMI, DVI, Composite) are not supported.

Additional Information

Note that HD playback at 720p requires an HDCP digital connection. If you attempt to play this content using the iPad Dock Connector to VGA Adapter, an alert will appear to let you know an HDCP-compatible device is required. To view iTunes Store content, sync the SD version of the video or use the Apple Component AV cable to play the HD version at 480p.
